Dave East isn’t showing any symptoms of slowing down, releasing this hot new summer track titled “Anna Mae.” This record samples Amerie’s 2002 hit “Why Don’t We Fall In Love?” which blends perfectly with East’s smooth and melodic lyricism. East even references the recent shooting from T.I.’s show at Irving Plaza saying lines like “Shouts to T.I., he wanted to bring me out, N*ggas shot up Irving Plaza, we was speedin’ out” and “That’s that New York shit, nothin’ to think about, I’m right back to the lab, blowin’ the speakers out.” The New York based artist is currently signed to rapper Nas’ label, Mass Appeal Records.
