If you’re from Natchitoches and Sabine parish, speeding through Robeline Louisiana is definitely a no go.  Law enforcement officers are strict in this area. People know that being fined is a consequence for speeding, but here is something you may not know.

An Ordinance: No Saggy Pants

Whereas, the village of Robeline, Louisiana has determined that it has the authority and the desire to limit indecent or lewd behavior as a compelling interest of the parish’s health, safety and welfare; now therefore:

Be it ordained by the village of Robeline, Louisiana, and it is hereby ordained by the same:

Chapter 1, Article 1, Ordinance #3

is hereby adopted to read as follows:

indecent exposure; indecent or lewd behavior:

  1. It shall be unlawful for any person to appear in a public place wearing pants below the waist which expose the skin or undergarments.
  2. Any violation of Subsection (A) shall be cited by a law enforcement officer by the issuance of a citation and summons to appear before a court of proper jurisdiction, and shall by itself not be grounds for an arrest of for a full search of the person cited.
  3.  Any person found in violation of any provision of this section shall, upon conviction offense, be fined not more than $50.00 for the first offense and $100.00 for each subsequent offense.
