The Global Spin Awards have found a new location for this year’s award ceremony. This year will be the 5th annual ceremony and for the first time it will be held outside of NYC. The award show will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 16, 2017, which is also 2017 NBA All-Star weekend. This location change was announced by its founder, Shawn Prez, in an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club.

The Global Spin Awards is a celebration to acknowledge the best DJ’s in the music industry. The nominations were announced yesterday in Miami, Florida at the Revolt Music Conference 2016. There are many notable names nominated for awards such as DJ Envy, DJ Self, DJ Khaled, Calvin Harris, and DJ Drama, to name a few.
