“Apple Users Won’t Like This”

Many artists complain sometimes about being recorded during their performances and Apple is here to fix it. Apple has recently filed for a patent on some new technology which will temporarily disable the IPhone camera while attending certain events. The goal is to prevent people from recording unauthorized videos.

Venues and other places like museums would essentially activate transmitters that use infrared signals to disable the cameras on IPhones when they are pointed at different areas. This technology could also reportedly be used to automatically insert a watermark onto the photo or blur out videos entirely.

Its said that whether or not Apple actually goes through with the process, this invention still remains to be seen because they’ve filed for hundreds of patents each year, but they’re at least taking the steps in that direction.
