Watch out Jay-Z, Tidal may have some new competition coming through! That’s right, Amazon is reportedly launching a standalone music streaming service! The online mega company has decided to add another trophy on it’s shelf. The service will compete with streaming giants such as  Tidal, Apple Music, and Spotify. The service will (of course) be released as a monthly subscription, and priced at $9.99, will put the service in the same lane as its competitors as well.

Sources say that the streaming service is expected to release late summer through early fall. The name of the service has yet to be revealed. Amazon plans to increase the sales of its home speaker, the Amazon Echo, with the launch of the streaming service. “A music service will further increase the daily interactions between Amazon and its customer base, ” Jay Samit, Former Music Executive, stated when he heard of the news. With an expected 30 millions songs in it’s catalog, Amazon will literally become customers one stop shop!

Amazon is likely to allow Prime users a basic package with their Prime subscription and will have additional subscriptions for customers who want more. Amazon users can shop for music and practically anything they need in the same transaction! Reminiscent of Walmart, right? ChangeofPlanz looks forward to seeing what they have up it’s sleeves!
